Elemental Energy Completes Acquisition of St. Lawrence Wind Farm.

Project adds to Elemental’s growing portfolio of renewable energy projects across Canada.

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA, March 10, 2020 – Elemental Energy Inc. (“Elemental”) announced the successful acquisition of the 27 megawatt St. Lawrence Wind Farm, located in St. Lawrence, Newfoundland and Labrador.

The project acquisition from EGPNA REP Wind Holdings, LLC means that Elemental now owns and operates Newfoundland and Labrador’s two operating wind farms, the St. Lawrence Wind Farm on the Burin Peninsula, and the Fermeuse Wind Farm on the Avalon Peninsula.

“The addition of the St. Lawrence Wind Farm represents a great milestone for Elemental as we grow our wind business and operating portfolio in Atlantic Canada. We look forward to building relationships in the local community at St. Lawrence, as we have done at Fermeuse,” said Jamie Houssian, Principal of Elemental Energy. “We are proud to play a role in delivering clean and affordable renewable energy to the people and communities of Newfoundland and Labrador now and in the future”.

The St. Lawrence Wind Farm consists of nine 3.0MW Vestas V90 turbines and operates in partnership with Vestas-Canadian Wind Technology Inc. Elemental looks forward to continuing its strong working relationship with Vestas and has also hired One Wind Services (a Spark Power Company), to help oversee the Balance of Plant maintenance. Elemental will also continue to support the local economy in and around St. Lawrence through hiring local people and companies to support the operations of the project.
