Project in Development
Boulder-Elkhart Wind

Project Overview
The Boulder Elkhart Wind Project is a 94 MW utility scale wind project, comprised of 12 to 16 turbines, between Merrit and Kelowna. The project is being developed in partnership by Elemental Energy and the Upper Nicola Band (uppernicola.com).
The project was awarded a 30-year contract as a successful proponent in BC Hydro’s 2024 Call for Power and aims to be operational by Fall 2028. The utility scale wind project will contribute to BC Hydro’s objective of adding additional clean, renewable generation sources to meet the province’s future electricity needs, while contributing to sustainable jobs and economic reconciliation.
